We are looking for dedicated, detail-loving, client-focused team members to grow with our small, values-driven business. No prior cleaning experience? No problem. We provide a comprehensive paid training apprenticeship. Spend your days creating calm, beautiful spaces and helping people fall in love with their homes again. Field Role
Green Home Cleaning & Care Specialist

This is NOT your standard house cleaning job. A Green Home Cleaning & Care Specialist goes beyond routine cleaning — making thoughtful, well-informed decisions to provide a customized experience tailored to each individual client's needs. Past cleaning experience is NOT required, but this is not an entry-level position. We approach cleaning and caring for client homes like a skilled trade. What matters most is a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a drive to take personal ownership in your work.

Pay & Training
  • Starting wage of $22/hr — increases to $23 at 4 weeks, $24 at 8 weeks, $25 at 12 weeks
  • $25–$26/hr after completing training — tiered increases based on 32+ hour schedule
  • Opportunity for an additional increase to $26/hr if exceeding expectations in your first year
  • Tenure & merit-based increases with a pay range that grows up to $36/hr
  • Paid, on-the-job training tailored to your learning style — typically 3 to 4 months
Schedule & Location
  • Options for flexible scheduling or Guaranteed Hours after training
  • No nights, no weekends — Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm
  • Greater Seattle Area — within a 15 mile radius of the 98115 zip code
  • Service area extends as far north as Lynnwood/Bothell and as far south as White Center/West Seattle
What You'll Do
  • Move with hustle and care through fast-paced, detail-oriented cleaning appointments that require real focus and physical stamina
  • Use strong observation & decision-making skills to adjust priorities at each appointment based on how the home is being used
  • Adapt to customized client requests and maintain specialty cleaning tasks such as porches, interior appliances, and walls
  • Communicate with the Client Scheduling Team about the schedule and frequency for each specialty task
  • Proactively recommend specialty cleaning tasks or outside house maintenance services based on detailed home assessments
  • Build strong, long-term client relationships and represent SGEC's highest standards of care

Leadership Role
Trainer & Field Leader
$28/hr ($25 during training) Full-time preferred (32+ hrs) Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm Greater Seattle Area

Trainers shape the future of our team. They uphold our standards, develop confident cleaning professionals, and ensure our clients consistently experience the very best service. This role requires prior professional training experience and the ability to lead through skill, care, and accountability — not authority.

Pay
  • $25/hr during our 3 to 6 month paid training program
  • $28/hr after completing training
  • Opportunities for tenure & merit-based increases up to $44/hr and continued leadership growth
Training Responsibilities
  • Build trusting relationships with trainees and guide them through SGEC's 2 to 3 month training program
  • Teach SGEC standards, products, tools, safety, and green cleaning methods
  • Role-play client communication and coach confidence in client-facing situations
  • Provide clear, detailed, constructive feedback tailored to individual learning styles
  • Coach trainees on managing ambiguity and knowing when to seek support
  • Teach strong decision-making that goes beyond checklists — assessing what a home actually needs
  • Document trainee progress and evaluate readiness for graduation
  • Take ownership of a trainee's first three months including post-graduation success
  • Work as a Green Cleaning Home Specialist when not training others
Leadership Responsibilities
  • Serve as Team Clean Lead on all team cleanings — initiate the plan, check progress, lead walk-throughs
  • Provide positive and constructive feedback directly and respectfully
  • Share progress reports and communicate with leadership after working with team members in the field
  • Actively participate in team meetings and leadership discussions
  • Seek out team members interested in growth and help facilitate their development
