Licensing & Trust
You are in good hands.
Are you licensed, bonded and insured?
Absolutely. We are fully licensed, bonded and insured. And because all of our cleaners are W-2 employees and not independent contractors, they are completely covered under our business license, bonding and insurance. This means that you, our company and our cleaners are all protected if anything goes wrong. You never have to wonder whether the person in your home is covered.
Is Seattle Green Earth Cleaning a woman-owned business?
Yes, Seattle Green Earth Cleaning is proudly woman-owned and operated. We were also recognized by the U.S. Small Business Administration as Washington State Small Business Person of the Year and National Runner-Up in 2024 — an honor we are incredibly proud of. When you hire us, you are supporting a local, independent, women-led small business that genuinely cares about this community.
Green Cleaning
What eco-friendly actually means in practice.
Do you use non-toxic and eco-friendly cleaning products?
Yes, always. At Seattle Green Earth Cleaning, we exclusively use non-toxic, plant-based, environmentally responsible products. Our cleaning solutions are free of harsh chemicals and safe for children, pets, people with sensitivities, and the planet. We never substitute conventional products to cut costs or save time. Green cleaning is not a marketing angle for us — it is the foundation of how we do our work.
If you would like to know more about the specific products we use, just ask. We are happy to share.

Are your products safe for kids and pets?
Completely. Our plant-based products are specifically chosen because they are safe for the whole household — including little ones and animals who spend a lot of time on floors and surfaces. You do not need to worry about residues, fumes, or chemical exposure after we leave. Your home will be clean and genuinely safe to live in.
What makes you different from other cleaning companies in Seattle?
A few things set us apart in a meaningful way.
First, our products: we use only plant-based, non-toxic cleaning solutions — not just some of the time, but every visit, every home. Second, our people: all of our cleaners are W-2 employees, not independent contractors, which means they receive living wages, training, and real support. Third, our approach: we do not work from a rigid checklist. Our Total Care method means your home gets what it actually needs that day, not a one-size-fits-all routine.
We are also a local, woman-owned business with deep roots in the Seattle community. We are not a franchise. The people making decisions about your home care about this city and the people in it.

Are you certified or recognized as an eco-friendly cleaning company?
Yes. We are committed to green, environmentally responsible practices across every part of our business — not just the products we use, but how we operate as a company. We were recognized by the SBA as Washington State Small Business Person of the Year in 2024, in part because of the values-driven model we have built. We take our responsibility to the environment seriously and continue working to raise our standards over time.
Services & Pricing
What we offer and how it works.
What services do you offer?
We offer a full range of residential cleaning services, including Standard Cleaning, Express Cleaning, Deep Cleaning, Move-In/Move-Out Cleaning, Steam Cleaning, and Professional Home Organizing.
We do not work from a fixed checklist. Instead, we call our approach Total Care — each visit is customized to what your home actually needs that day. Our team assesses your space, prioritizes accordingly, and adapts to your preferences over time. Whether you need a thorough deep clean before a move or a recurring service that keeps your home consistently fresh, we design the experience around you.

What areas of Seattle do you serve?
We serve Seattle and the surrounding neighborhoods within approximately 10 miles of Ravenna (98115), including Shoreline, Lake City, Northgate, and nearby communities.
If you are just outside that radius, we may still be able to help — we do make exceptions, and an out-of-area fee may apply. Not sure if we come to you? Send us a message with your zip code and we will confirm within one business day.

How do you determine pricing?
We bill by the hour. Before your appointment, we provide a time estimate based on the size of your home, the type of service, and the current condition of the space. That estimate becomes your quote, so you always know what to expect before we arrive.
We do not offer one-size-fits-all rates because no two homes and no two clients are the same. The best way to get an accurate estimate is to request one here. We will ask a few quick questions and get back to you with a clear, honest number. No surprises on the day of your appointment.

Do you bring all of your own products, including a vacuum?
Yes. We bring everything we need, including all of our plant-based cleaning products, supplies and equipment. You do not need to provide a thing.
If you have a specific product you would like us to use in your home, just ask. We are happy to check whether it meets our safety standards for our team and your household. We will always let you know what we find.

Your Home & Day Of
What to expect on appointment day.
Do I have to be home when you clean?
Not at all. We do not mind either way. Whether you are home working, relaxing or out for the day, we will take great care of your space.
If you are home and need us to skip the vacuum for a call, a nap or a quiet moment, just let us know. We are flexible and happy to work around you.

How do you get into my home if I cannot be there?
We work with whatever access method is most comfortable for you. Common options include a key left in a secure spot, a lockbox code, a garage code or a building entry code. We handle your access information with complete discretion and store it securely. If you ever want to update your access instructions, just let us know.
I have pets. What should I do with them on appointment day?
We love animals and are comfortable working around them. That said, we do ask that any pets who may be anxious, territorial or unpredictable around new people be secured in a room or crate during the visit. This keeps both your pet and our team comfortable and safe. For friendly pets who are relaxed around visitors, there is no need to do anything special.
Our products are completely plant-based and free of harsh chemicals, so you never have to worry about residues being unsafe for your animals.

What about parking?
Seattle parking is Seattle parking, and we have navigated all of it. If our team needs to pay for parking near your home, they cover it and report it back to us. We then add the cost to your invoice so our team is always reimbursed.
If you have any tips about the best spot near your home, we genuinely appreciate it. Any local knowledge helps us arrive on time and ready to work.

Is there anything I need to do before my cleaner arrives?
Nothing at all. We are there to brighten your every day and that means we take care of it. Just let us in and we will handle the rest. That is exactly what we are here for.
What do you do if something in my home gets damaged or broken?
We will always replace any item that is damaged or fix anything that is broken during a visit. Full stop. We are fully bonded and insured and we take complete responsibility. If you notice anything after a visit, contact us right away and we will make it right. No runaround, no exceptions.
Our Team
The people in your home.
How do you vet the people coming into my home?
We take this seriously. Every member of our team goes through a thorough hiring process that includes a background check and verified reference checks before they ever set foot in a client home.
From there, all new team members complete a paid, in-home training apprenticeship that typically runs three or more months. They train alongside experienced team members in real client homes before taking on their own appointments independently. We do not consider someone fully ready until we are genuinely confident in their skills, judgment, and professionalism.
All of our cleaners are also W-2 employees — not contractors — which means we are fully responsible for who we send to your home and how they show up.

Am I supposed to tip my house cleaner?
Tipping is never expected and always appreciated. Our team is paid a true living wage, so you can feel good knowing they are being fairly compensated regardless. That said, if a visit went above and beyond and you want to show your appreciation, your cleaner will genuinely be grateful.
Who is the other person I occasionally see coming into my home near the end of a visit?
That is one of our field leaders stopping in to support the team and make sure you are going to be delighted with the results. It is not an inspection so much as a genuine commitment to your experience. We want every visit to leave you feeling taken care of, and having a senior team member check in is one of the ways we make sure that happens.
Billing & Policies
Simple, straightforward and fair.
How do I pay for my cleaning services?
We use Jobber as our client management platform, which makes invoicing and payment easy. We accept Zelle, PayPal, check and credit card.
Zelle is our favorite way to receive payment as it is fast, simple and fee-free for everyone. If you have any questions about invoices or payments, we are always happy to help.

What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a visit. Appointments cancelled with less notice may be subject to a fee, as our team has already reserved that time in their schedule. We understand that life happens, so if something unexpected comes up, just reach out as soon as you can and we will do our best to work with you.
Overall the service was great, but there is one thing I am not completely happy about. What should I do?
Please tell us. We mean that sincerely. We would much rather hear directly from you than have you quietly dissatisfied. If something was missed or did not meet your expectations, reach out within 24 hours of your visit and we will come back to address it at no charge. Your satisfaction is not just a policy for us. It reflects how much we care about the work we do in your home.
Feedback & Health
Accountability and care.
I have allergies or sensitivities. Can you accommodate me?
Absolutely. Your health is our priority and we have several options to support clients with allergies, chemical sensitivities or fragrance sensitivities.
All of our products are plant-based, non-toxic and fragrance-free by default — so for most clients with sensitivities, our standard kit is already a great fit.
If you need an extra layer of assurance, we can leave a dedicated set of our supplies at your home for a small additional fee and use only those products exclusively in your space. They will never be used in any other home.
Alternatively, if you have products you know work well for your body or your household, we are happy to use yours instead. Just let us know before your first appointment and we will make a note in your file so your preferences are always followed.

How can I give you feedback?
We read and act on every piece of feedback we receive. You can share your thoughts using our feedback form, or reach us by phone at (206) 595-4209 or by email at info@seattlegec.com. Positive or critical, your honest feedback helps us keep our standards high and continue improving. We are genuinely grateful for it.
How did you respond to the COVID-19 pandemic?
We took COVID-19 seriously from the beginning, both for the safety of our clients and our team. We implemented enhanced protocols across every aspect of our service, including PPE for all team members, strict hygiene practices between visits, health screening procedures and updated product protocols to address high-touch surfaces.
We communicated proactively and transparently with clients throughout, and made it easy for anyone who needed to pause service to do so without penalty. Our commitment to our team meant we worked hard to support them through an incredibly difficult time.
The practices we developed during that period have become a permanent part of how we operate. Our clients can continue to expect the same heightened attention to health and safety going forward.
